About sleepsounds
sleepsounds plays rain, sea, fire and noise to fall asleep to. It is free, it has no ads, and it will not ask you to sign up. The popular sleep-sound apps fill the screen with ads and subscription prompts. You are trying to get to sleep, so this one shows none.
How it works
- Tap sounds to mix them, and set each one's volume.
- The sleep timer fades the sound out over its last few minutes, then stops.
- It keeps playing when the screen turns off, with play and pause on the lock screen, on Android phones and on computers. iPhones may stop web audio when locked.
- Add it to your home screen and it opens like an app. A sound you have played once will play again without a connection.
- Your last mix is remembered on this device only.
Where the sounds come from
Every recording is from Freesound (opens freesound.org) and was dedicated to the public domain by its recordist under CC0 (opens creativecommons.org). We cut a stretch from each, set them all to the same loudness, and join the ends so the loop has no gap. Thank you to the people who recorded them.
